Maggie Grace (born Margaret Grace Denig on 21 September 1983) is an American actress, best well-known for her role in the roles of Shannon Rutherford on the ABC TV series Lost and Kim Mills in the Taken trilogy. She was born in Worthington in Ohio. She was kicked out of school when her parents divorced to go in Los Angeles to live with her mother. Even though she had financial difficulties in 2001, her debut came in the role of Rachel's Room's main character. The television film Murder in Greenwich where she portrayed 15-year-old Martha Moxley earned her the nomination for a Young Artist Award. In 2004 Grace was chosen to play Shannon Rutherford in the television show Lost where she was a main actor for the first two seasons, and was awarded a Screen Actors Guild Award shared with the ensemble cast. Grace decided to concentrate on film after playing opposite Tom Welling's character, The Fog, in 2005. She also was on screen in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club as well as, alongside the Liam Neeson character Kim Mills as Kim Mills in Taken. She played the same role on Taken 2 and Taken 3 (both in 2012). Grace was Shannon once more in the show's finale episode, as well as two additional episodes. In 2013, Grace appears in Californianation, the 6th season. She plays Faith an actress who serves as a model for celebrities and attracts the eye of Hank Moody (David Duchovny). Gyllenhaal began her professional career as a director, screenwriter and script writer. she wrote and directed her psychological horror film The Lost Daughter. The film was awarded Best Screenplay at The Venice International Film Festival, and was later nominated by the Academy Award.
